Established in 1968, the Humane Society of Fairfax County (HSFC) was formed by concerned citizens as a non-profit organization to rescue and protect both domestic and wild animals from abuse, neglect, abandonment, and cruelty.

Fancy Cats Rescue Team was founded in 1997 by Cathy McCullough-Awad. We are a non-profit, all-volunteer rescue that operates out of the Fair Lakes PETsMART in Fairfax, Va. Since being founded we have found loving homes for approximately 3,000 cats in the National Capital area.

*Fancy Cats works to end needless euthanasia by providing a safety net for cats that have been abandoned.
